This position is in Warrendale, PA (Pittsburgh, PA) and offers a hybrid mix of in-office work and work from home.

The IT Business Relationship Manager serves as a business relationship liaison between business units and IT teams. Focus is on business requirements, project management, process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. Helps business prioritize and document change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted teams. Designs cost effective strategies with business and IT subject matter experts to increase the efficiency of the organization’s business processes through changes in policies, procedures, organizational structure and the application of enabling technology. Presents clear, fact-based presentations to illustrate findings to all levels of management to gain credibility based upon recommendations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Researches and analyzes enterprise-wide complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of the organization. Leads work groups and business units (may be cross functional) initiatives. Provides strategic guidance on measurable process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies and cost/labor reductions now and in the future. Performs detailed gap analysis exercises and incorporates change management best practices to help Vector manage change. Simulates and tests process improvements.
  • Responsible and accountable for tracking and outcomes from process changes to determine the impact on the business and its customers following the implementation of those changes. May use relational databases and other reporting tools to compile data pertaining to the effectiveness and efficiency of Vector’s internal processes.
  • Defines and assists with ROI creation on new software system development and implementation. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Works closely with business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve service and/or business processes.
  • Responsible and accountable for documenting operational processes, creating detailed process maps and associated materials. Ensures that documented processes are understood by all users and the processes are implemented consistently.
  • Leads project feasibility and business case development, matching projects to the strategic priorities of the organization. Leads with other project leaders in specific areas as needed such as facilitation, analysis, process mapping, brainstorming, project management issues. Writes and delivers communication to all levels of organization to ensure support, awareness, and effectiveness of process improvement initiatives.
  • Provides other related support as needed to improve the performance of the business such as quarterly business reviews, manage demand intake, and ad hoc project management.
  • Leads larger scale, cross-functional initiatives and projects that are intended to drive performance improvement, financial gains, customer satisfaction and improved compliance. Ensures all project requirements are clearly documented, approved, and delivered to meet organizational needs within the agreed upon timeframes. Documentation to include supporting deliverables, As-Is and To-Be process design documentation and conceptual design deliverables where needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in business process improvement. This includes process analysis and improvement methods, tools and techniques, project management and change management.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and technical writing experience.
  • Demonstrated success in team building and leading project teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform, Mastermind very helpful.
  • Six Sigma or related certification preferred.
